ANNUAL 2 DAY D.T.L OPEN CARNIVAL
22ND, 23RD AND 24TH JANUARY 2016
Once again you are invited to attend the ALBANY CLAY TARGET CLUB ANNUAL 2 DAY DTL OPEN CARNIVAL. In January of 2016, Albany will play host to shooters from clubs all over Western Australia and in some cases interstate for more than two days of competitive down the line clay target shooting.
The 2015 Two Day Carnival was held over the weekend after the Australia Day public holiday in January. We are happy to announce that the 2016 carnival will be held on the weekend before Australia Day.
The program for the weekend will consist of appoximately 200 targets in double barrel, single barrel, points score and medley. Albany Clay Target Club uses premium White Flyer® full fluro targets and modern traps.
The competition is open to shooters of all ages that are members of an Australian club and that are affiliated with A.C.T.A. (Australian Clay Target Association). The divisions available are OPEN, VETERAN, LADIES and JUNIORS. At the conclusion of proceedings shooters are awarded prizes consisting of sashes and ammunition based on cumulated scores provided by state of the art scoring software (Shootmaster). Albany Clay Target Club has been using the Shootmaster software for a few years now and has proven to be a very valuable resource. The scoreboard program used in 2015 will be used again as it proved a valuable tool and provided real time score information for every competitor.
NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the weekend have been around $195 with the optional cash divide event on Friday adding a little extra. The nominations for 2016 will likely be similar however they may vary slightly depending on the numbers of targets in the program. One thing that wont change greatly is the prizes. A total of 14 sashes and bucket loads of cash can be won over the course of the weekend. Overall High Gun, Graded High Guns, High Gun for Ladies, Veteran and Juniors and of course Overall Winner for each event recieve sash and cash.
This is the fourth year the club has had a website and we hope that it proves to be as much a valuable tool for us as it does for all shooters outside the club that see it. Once again we will be accepting ONLINE NOMINATIONS for the 2016 January Carnival with the hope of somewhat streamlining the nomination process. Those shooters that are attending can complete an online nomination form and send it directly from the website to the club secretary and avoid having to fill out any paperwork on arrival in January. The only thing left to do will be to pay your nominations. Payments will be accepted by cash or cheque. Other payment methods may be available in the future.
