The Albany Clay Target Club was thrilled to host the Leeuwin Coast/Harvest Road Christmas party for 2022. We had a group of 26 come out for a fantastic day of shooting and eating then followed by some drinks and some very enthusiastic games of American cornhole, which much like shooting, requires some accuracy to get a cheer from the crowd. We decided to give the visitors a real mix of targets, so they all started with 2 sporting targets to get their eye in. This was followed by 10 skeet targets including a pair, then 5 trap targets. Everyone hit multiple targets and there were some impressive scores by the end, with the winner taking the Christmas crown with a 13/17. After demonstrating how to shoot, committee member Bryn Westerberg whipped up some Albany Herring and Albany Sardine burgers with a selection of salads, needless to say the seafood lunch went down a treat. We would like to thank the Emu Point Oyster crew for selecting us to host their party and were glad everyone had a great time and left with a smile on their face.
